FedTaxEst is a static site. The calculator does not post wages or filing status to an application server.
Calculator inputs
Values you type are used only to compute the on-page estimate. Sharing a link may include those values in the query string. Avoid sharing URLs that contain information you consider sensitive.
Hosting and logs
If you deploy on Cloudflare Pages or another static host, that host may collect standard request logs (IP address, user agent, referring URL). This project does not add its own analytics library by default.
Advertising (AdSense-ready)
Reserved advertisement units ship in the layout. They stay as labeled placeholders until you set PUBLIC_ADSENSE_CLIENT and replace the slot IDs. If Google AdSense is enabled, Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s advertising privacy materials. You are responsible for placing a validads.txt publisher ID and for any consent banner required in your jurisdiction.
Children
The site is written for a general adult audience learning about federal income tax. It is not directed at children under 13.
