FedTaxEst exists so a reader can watch ordinary federal brackets, the standard deduction, and a simplified credit change an estimate — without pretending the result is a prepared return.
Independence
This project does not use government logos, seals, or form facsimiles. It does not claim official status. Citations in the README and on the methodology page point to publicly posted inflation procedures so you can check the numbers yourself.
What we will not do
We will not ask for a Social Security number, bank account, or return upload. The estimator is static JavaScript. Advertising, if enabled, is labeled and does not change the math.
